Observe the opportunity for children to launch their very own startup business! Kids develop a brand, create a product or service, build a marketing strategy, and then open for customers at our one-day marketplace. No resale items will be allowed! This market is for handmade goods or services- you may not sell trademarked material or pre-packaged items.
We will host 75 booths at the 10th Collierville Children’s Business Fair located at Mid-South Gifted Academy on Sunday, Nov. 15 from 1 PM- 4 PM. This event will be held outside, and all businesses will need to provide their own setup (table, chairs, and optional pop-up tent- maximum size 10×10!)

This event is sponsored by Mid-South Gifted Academy, Acton Academy, the Acton School of Business, and the generous support of our volunteers. We all believe that principled entrepreneurs are heroes and role models for the next generation.
At Mid-South Gifted Academy, our mission is to develop innovators and world changers by creating educational and enrichment opportunities for children to discover and use their gifts, talents, and passions. Besides our full-time Prek-12 private school program, one of the ways we seek to carry out our mission is through our Children’s Business Fairs which provide opportunities for children to get excited about the creative process of innovation and entrepreneurship! The co-founders and founding families of Mid-South Gifted Academy are a team of passionate entrepreneurs, teachers, mentors, and parents who want our children to learn about entrepreneurship in a practical and fun way.
Whether an entrepreneur is famous like Elon Musk or Oprah Winfrey or they are one of the thousands of unsung business owners across this country, these are the people who make sacrifices to innovate, create jobs and serve their communities.

What is the Collierville Children’s Business Fair?
The Children’s Business Fair inspires children to discover their inner entrepreneur. The largest entrepreneurship event for kids in North America, this one-day market gives children the opportunity to showcase their very own businesses. Kids ages 6-18 develop a brand, create a product or service, build a marketing strategy, and then open for customers at our one-day marketplace.
How do I apply? Can I apply as part of a group?
Applications must be submitted online. You can find the application here. Please submit one application for each business. Children working as a group should submit one application that includes each child’s information. No more than 3 participants per business. To be notified when we announce the next CBF, send an email to info@midsouthgiftedacademy.com. Applications will be reviewed and approved or declined every Friday for the 2 months before the event. You should receive an email confirmation at that time. If you have questions about your application, email kathy@midsouthgiftedacademy.com.
Can I have electricity at my booth?
Short answer: maybe. While we do have room for 8 businesses to have electrical hook-up capabilities, there are a few things you should know:
- There is a $25 fee for a booth with electrical hookup. If your child’s business is accepted into the fair, you will receive an email with instructions on paying the fee. If fees are not paid within 3 days, your booth is forfeited.
- You may only hookup one, small electrical appliance to the extension cord. Examples: one crockpot, one griddle. You may not hook up a freezer or other large machine. Please email stacey@midsouthgiftedacademy.com if you have questions about your child’s electricity needs.
- You must supply all extension cords, which need to be long and made for outdoor use.
- These booths are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis.
- We will give no refunds on electrical booth fees. No exceptions.
Prize money will be awarded to winners in each age group for the following categories:
- Most Original Business Idea
- Highest Business Potential
- Best Presentation / Creativity
The age groups are 6-8, 9-12, 13-18
