The Collierville Children’s Business Fair was a huge success last weekend, and the energy from these young entrepreneurs was incredible. Mid-South Gifted Academy (MSGA) hosted 70 kid-run businesses, with students coming from more than 20 schools across the Mid-South.
These incredible business owners, ages 6-17, showcased creativity, confidence, and hard work. Kid-entrepreneurs and our hundreds of happy shoppers made this one of our best fairs yet!
Kids Who Think Like Entrepreneurs
PreK–4th Grade: Building a Strong Foundation
The Collierville Children’s Business Fair gives kids the chance to create, build, and run their own businesses. Students brought handmade products, baked goods, technology projects, artwork, jewelry, and so much more.
Whether they joined us for the first time or came back with improved ideas, these students showed real leadership and problem-solving skills.
Skills Kids Will Use for Life
This fair is more than a fun afternoon. It gives children real-world skills that will support them in school, future jobs, and everyday life. By creating and selling their own products, students learn:
how to solve problems creatively
how to communicate clearly
how to speak with confidence
how to price products and understand profit
how to handle challenges and hear “no”
how to design a clear, attractive booth
how to plan and follow through on a business idea
Experiences like this build confidence, independence, and resilience — skills that matter far beyond one event.
