MSGA Earns Top Honor from National Speech & Debate Association

We are proud to announce that Mid-South Gifted Academy has earned Charter Status from the National Speech & Debate Association (NSDA) — the highest level of recognition the NSDA awards to high schools.

Charter Status is based on a school’s level of participation in speech and debate activities, including points earned through competition and service relative to overall school enrollment. This honor highlights MSGA’s commitment to developing students who are confident, articulate, and equipped with critical thinking and real-world communication skills.

This recognition reflects not only the hard work and talent of our students, but also the support and guidance of passionate coaches and educators who help them grow and find their voices.

Charter Status is re-evaluated every three years and must be maintained through continued participation and excellence. We are proud of the strong foundation our students are building and look forward to continuing this legacy of achievement and growth through speech and debate.
